Ideas
This is page is both a list of things I might come back to work on someday, and an open bounty board for how much I’d pay to see each idea implemented.
Information
Memory usage leaderboard ––– $50
A database of popular (pro/con)sumer apps and how high their memory usage gets for common session lengths/tasks.
App reviews
Would be cool to make high-quality reviews of apps and games.
Apps/services
A minimal newsletter platform ––– $0.0025/email
I’m sure there are many reasons that this is a bad idea, but I want a service with the vibes of Tinyletter and pricing that isn’t a monthly subscription.
A real scenario: you want to move your newsletter off of Substack. It has a few hundred subscribers but you don’t want to pay $9/month for emails you only send out 4 times a year (sorry, we both know it’s true).
tldraw as a local app ––– $50
Use their code, shove it into a Tauri wrapper, set it up to save files to my disk.
A web clone of Scapple
I won’t pay for this one because I want to do it (from scratch) myself one day, but the easy way would be to build on top of the tldraw SDK.
Website map-maker ––– $50
A site where I can input a URL, and it uses’s the linked site’s sitemap.xml to draw an explorable map (like this one) of all it’s pages. Bonus points if you can separate it into “regions” based on topic, time, URL structure, etc.
Lightweight spreadsheet ––– $25
Store data in local storage, and give me very basic formulas (SUM, MULTIPLY, AVERAGE) to do simple arithmetic for budgets, planning, etc. I just want something I can pull up in the browser without it loading multiple megabytes of JS to render a table onto a canvas.
Weirder dating apps
While I can’t promise to be a user, I would rather people try new ideas than try to make another version of the same old thing.
